Duplicate smtp addresses will generate event id&#8217;s and will cause NDR&#8217;s as Exchange will drop a message when more than one object has the same SMTP address.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Event Type:\u00a0Error Event Source:\u00a0MSExchangeTransport Event Category:\u00a0(9) Event ID:\u00a09217 Date:\u00a0\u00a07\/6\/2012 Time:\u00a0\u00a02:02:18 PM User:\u00a0\u00a0N\/A Computer:\u00a0mailserver.domain.com Description: More than one Active Directory object is configured with the recipient address <a href=\"mailto:smtpaddress@domain.com\">smtpaddress@domain.com<\/a>.
