Download the required bundle from HP’s software and drivers site. For this particular model DL360 the drivers can be found at the link below. For the purposes of this article I installed the HP ProLiant Smart Array Controller Driver for VMware ESXi 5.0 (Bundle file)
You can use WinSCP to copy the zip file downloaded from the HP site to a location on your ESX system.Once the file is uploaded you can run the command below.
~ # esxcli software vib install -d /vmfs/volumes/datastorename/hpsa-500-5.0.0-offline_bundle-697362.zip
Installation Result Message: The update completed successfully, but the system needs to be rebooted for the changes to be effective. When complete the system will require a reboot.
